Welcome to the Hope for School Africa website.

We all know that the key to human development is education. It is one of its main sources. We know that there are millions of children in the world in need of a good education who cannot access it as a result of poverty.
For Africa, poverty, lack of an education and the resulting illiteracy are perhaps the biggest problems in the country next to political disturbances and tribe wars. The fight against illiteracy here is not an easy one. But we believe that every big and efficient accomplishment has started somewhere, no matter how impossible it seemed at first, and we want to be the initiative takers in the fight against the illiteracy !
So we asked ourselves the following questions:

  • What is the meaning of happiness if you have nothing?
  • What quality of life is there if you have to walk up to 15 kilometres a day to go to school on an empty stomach rain or shine?
  • Do you really get enough time to rest and sleep and be in shape for school the next day?
  • And what if you cannot access education at all because your parents have no money?

We found it almost impossible to find the answers and it became clear to us how we could help. Please take the time to read on about our project, Hope for School Africa, in the republic of Guinea.
  • About Sakorola - (read more)

Sakorola is a village located between two other villages, Makonon and Gbelema. Coming from Kankan you will find Sakorola in the direction of Kissidougou. The nearest schools are located at 7 to 15 kilometres from the village. The nearest hospital is situated 22 kilometres away, in Kankan. In case of an emergency, if the patient cannot be carried by bicycle, they will most likely die. The day-to-day worry, especially for parents, is how to get food on the table
